What are the Rubber Duck Awards?
The Rubber Duck Awards is a competition for educators and ākonga, tamariki, and rangatahi of Aotearoa New Zealand to tell stories through game design.
The competition is best suited for Year Levels 5-13.
How to participate
Support aligned with the revised Technology Learning Area, Digital Technologies curriculum content. With an opportunity to give mana to Designing and Developing Digital Outcomes, and Computational Thinking for Digital Technologies.
Kaitiakitanga Designing and developing a game to promote kaitiakitanga (guardianship)
The professional development will be delivered in English Medium, but inclusive to all with hui being supported by NZSL.
Games designed for the competition can be designed in any language the designers identify with.
Te Ao Māori values will be woven through the delivery of content, and support materials.
